PROJECT DEPICTION
A human-centered monologue play written by Juha Kauppinen and performed by Martti Suosalo. It explores the relationship between nature and humanity, as well as the inhuman forces that are inexorably destroying the natural world. Starman is a delightfully satirical and timely play about nature and the threat to its biodiversity. The spotlight shifts to various settings where the state of nature and the fate of humanity are debated, successively revealing the Forester, the Activist, the Sparrow, and the Biologist. Looming over it all is the interstellar official Starman, who is determined to influence the course of events—and perhaps the entire trajectory of human development.
